It's hard to explain how a few precious things
Seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all is said and done I was watching my son
Sleeping there with my bear by his side
So I tucked him in, I kissed him and as I was going
I swear that the old bear whispered "Boy welcome home"

(I heard this song first when I was 19 in my freshman year at university majoring International Politics, and years afterward when I am working as a struggling-and-aspiring writer, this song by Kenny Loggins still made me smile each time I hear it, because it reminds me of how fun my childhood was)
